I never saw any branches on either the House or the Senate side. If there are hidden passages, they would be for walking, not subway riding. I did spot zillions of rough-hewn side passages under the Capitol itself. Who knows where they lead? All I know is that security in the whole complex is extremely tight. One of my intern friends had his ID confiscated because it had expired the day before. They're VERY careful to make sure nobody assassinates a congressman or plants a bomb. Even with my Senate ID, I couldn't poke around too much in the more obscure areas. (Plus, I actually had work to do! :) Any former interns/staffers with more successful explorations to relate to us?
